Learning about Racial Injustice

The killing of George Floyd and the protests across the nation demand we recognize racism and injustice. The Color of Compromise is a great resource for a next step of learning by doing the individual work of reading and listening. This process is messy and confusing but extremely important. Journal, make some space in your life to respond, write your questions, process.

We will send out more opportunities to process and learn more together with a group in the upcoming days.

This is a key time for the body of Jesus to listen to our brothers and sisters of color.

Step 1: Read or Watch the Color of Compromise

The Color of Compromise

The Color of Compromise is both enlightening and compelling, telling a history we either ignore or just don't know. Equal parts painful and inspirational, it details how the American church has helped create and maintain racist ideas and practices. You will be guided in thinking through concrete solutions for improved race relations and a racially inclusive church.
